In honor of Magnus's long night run, I exercised for 2:18 today.

First, I went to the track and warmed up, then did a mile test run. 8:36, almost a minute faster than the last time I did it, in December.

Then I drove to Weston Bend, and moved around the bike trail for 2 hours, HR 70-80% (mostly walking). My legs were tired by the end, but it was good training for the Long O next weekend.

I also saw a long black snake on the trail. I went to observe it closer, to look for markings that might help identify it later. It scared me when it started rattling it's tail! Turns out not to be a rattlesnake (although they do exist in MO); it was a black rat snake.

MT = 783/850
