22 March 2003
There was a PTOC meet at Prairie Center. I was sleepy when I woke this morning, and was worried that I wouldn't be motivated to concentrate today. Fortunately, the red course was essentially a yellow course with lots of trail running.
I did find it hard to push the pace sometimes, especially through the tall grass and thick woods. But I was able to push sometimes, probably because I knew it was a competition, and not a practice. But I definitley recognized the signs of sleepiness and lack of motivation that I felt at Landahl last weekend. Maybe the crappy woods were also a factor? I definitely have less fun when I have to move through thick stuff. I found myself dreaming of the West Point woods while I was on the course today!
The course was listed at 6.1K, but measures 4.6K straight line. I was out for 54 minutes.
MT = 654/1000
