I ran a 5K race today, for only the third time. I wanted to do it in 32 minutes (a year ago I had to walk part of the course and I took more than 35 minnutes).

It's weird to run in a pack. I couldn't tell how fast I was going. Also, I wasn't familiar with the course, so I didn't know where the mile markers were. I ran the first mile in just under 10 minutes; same with the second mile. I figured that put me on a good pace to finish around 32 minutes, so I risked pushing the pace a bit. I still couldn't tell how fast I was going, but I set my sights on runners ahead of me, and tried to track them down. I did the third mile in 8:31 and sprinted to the finish. 28:58. A new PR! It felt good.

MT = 720/1000
