I had to redeem myself from the bad day in the woods yesterday. I think part of the problem was using a 1:15,000 map again. I've been spoiled with 1:10,000 maps lately. So Mike set a short course for me at Weston Bend, on a 1:15,000 OCAD printout. I went by myself, so there were no markers out.

The woods were thick, and I didn't keep up my race pace. My orienteering was better; no huge booms. Just one lousy route choice; I had to back track because I couldn't get through the vegetation. I did a better job concnetrating, but it is easier at Weston Bend, where there are many linear features to check off.

Sixty minutes today.

MT = 659/1000
