I went to Tiffany Springs Park this morning. Most of the park consists of ATV trails. Some areas are really crappy, with lots of discarded junk lying around, and deep ruts on the trails. (Is this what the wagon wheel ruts looked like on the Santa Fe and Oregon trails?) But today I ran on the beautiful trails in the wooded sections. The trails are 5 feet wide, clear of vegetation, and relatively flat. They run up, down and along a steep hillside and stream bed. It would be fun to hold a trail running O meet there. We'd have to borrow a few GPS units to map all the trails, but the area could offer lots of navigation challenges.

I had fun exploring today. It's great to run somewhere new, where each trail junction is a decision point, and you never know where you'll end up. The only draw back was that there were a zillion cobwebs out there, and I seemed to run through every one! I was out on the trails for 50 minutes.
