We ran at the US champs this past weekend. I was pleased with my runs, for the most part. My navigation was steady, with a few minor mistakes on day one, and a better run on day two. I was disappointed with my physical ability. I didn't run as much as I planned to through all the downed trees and swamps (I HATE SWAMPS!). I also did not feel confident enough in my map reading ability to push the pace. In the end, I was in the middle of my age class, just minutes behind a medal. Maybe next year, when Kris Harrison is no longer in my age class, I will have a good chance to take a medal.

My times were 88 minutes on 6K day one; 80 minutes on 5.3 K day two. I don't know the winning time on my course. The fastest women's times were 63 (day one)and 58 (day two) minutes.
